The Civil Engineering department was established in the
year 1971 and grew over the years to become one of the
largest departments. The department has undergraduate
course in civil engineering and two postgraduate courses.

The department has a student & staff association "Royal
Society of Civil Engineers" started in 1995. The techno cultural event "STEM"
was conducted in the year 2004.
National Conference on "Applications of Recycled &
Marginal Materials in Construction" (ARMICON ) 2006 to be
