History of the department

The intake for the Under Graduate Course is 120 students per academic year. The postgraduate course in Structural Engineering was started in the year 1982 and post-graduate course in Environmental Engg was introduced in the year 2001. Department is also planning to start an M.Tech programme in Transportation Engineering & Management. The department has a strong team of twenty-eight qualified teachers specialised in all fields of civil engineering. The team consists of six faculties with PhD and remaining with post-graduate qualification in various specialised areas in civil engineering.
