| History |
| The department was started in
1984. The department is now shifted to the main campus and is located in the new
"Electrical Sciences Block". The department offers a 4 year B.E degree in
Computer Science and Engineering and a 2 year M.Tech program in "Computer Science and
Engineering" which was started in 1999. |

| The department has a student
assosiation "ACE" started in 1996. The technical event "INT xxH" will
be conducted each year. Active involvement in IEEE
MSRIT Student Brach, and Linux Users Group(VRLinug). |
