The MSRIT-IEEE Student branch conducted a workshop on "Intellectual Property Rights" on 4th December 2004 in collaboration with appin Knowledge Solutions. Eminent personalities from various industries delivered lectures on topics like "Introduction to IPR", "Copyrights & Related Rights", "Trademarks", "Patents & Unfair Competition" and others. Faculty and Students of various branches of our institute participated in this workshop.

Aavishkar is a technical fest conducted once every year by the student branch. This year's fest consists of a series of exciting events ranging from programming contests to project exhibitions. The event is sponsored by industry leaders such as Microsoft and IBM, among others.
