The department was started in 1979. The department has
well qualified and experienced staff members with all the
necessary infrastructure. The department aims at preparing
the students for careers in manufacturing Industries with
special emphasis on managerial aspects. |

The Department had organized Two day state level
workshop on Performance Improvement Through optimization Models -
PITOM on 9th and 10th March 2007.
The Department is organizing
National workshop on Innovative Quality Practices - Six
Sigma and Robust Design for e-business excellence from 10th March
2008 to 14th March 2008. The workshop is jointly organized by
Department of Operations Research and Statistical Quality Control,
SK University Kurnool-AP and Department of Industrial Engineering
and Management, MSRIT - Bangalore.
