REVERB - 05

Reverb 05, the Cultural - Technical fest, organised by the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, 0n 24th and 25th October 2005, created reverberations far and wide.

The Two day fest saw the culmination of a month long period of activities, preparations, planning and scheduling, which was brought together in a grand synthesis of efficiently coordinated events, of both technical and cultural nature.

The fest was a celebration of sorts. Reverb 05 celebrated the Silver Jubilee of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, Department and commemorated twenty five years of a academic brilliance.

The fest saw a protean mix of competitions, which were divided into technical and cultural, but provided participants and the audience a chance to savour a stimulating brew of information, music, managerial paradigms and host of other ingredients, garnered from academia and industry and garnished with the infectious enthusiasm of the very talented student body.

The fest saw participants from many colleges located in other parts of Karnataka. A few non - Karnataka colleges evinced interest in participating in the fest, and were also invited. Students and faculty members of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, were united in their monumental efforts in making the fest a roaring success.

The fest was preceded by an Alumni meet, which saw many illustrious alumni of the dept of Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, in full attendance. The present students were given a chance to reaffirm their pride in being part of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management and many found new role models to emulate. A Souvenir was officially released during the Alumni meet, which was greatly appreciated by the former students, which served as reminder of the high standards of excellence that the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management holds up for itself.

The Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, has come a long way, since its inception in 1979 and Reverb 05, is but one of many luminous milestones in the journey of the department, towards greater realms of academic and extra curricular excellence.
