Eligibility for M.Tech - Digital Communication Admission

Admissions is opened to the Master of Technology course to all the candidates who have passed B.E. / B.Tech examinations (in TCE, E & E, E & C, Electronics, Medical Electronics, Instrumentation) of VTU or any other University.

The AMIE qualification in respective branches equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech courses of VTU for M.Tech admissions. 

The candidate seeking admission to M.Tech courses with this qualification should take common entrance test.

Admission to M.Tech course shall be open for the candidates who have passed the prescribed qualifying examinations with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examinations (for SC/ST candidates not less than 45%).

Based on the performance of the candidates in the entrance exam, merit of the qualifying examinations and performance in the interview ranking shall be prepared and accordingly admission shall be made in order of merit.

The candidates who are qualified in the GATE examinations shall be given priority.

Sufficient GATE qualified candidates are not available such seats shall be filled from amongst the candidates appeared for entrance examinations in order of merit.

The maximum number of seats under various categories shall be as per sanctions of the AICTE, State Govt.and VTU.
