MSRIT has a State of Art Internet Centre through which one can reach out www. At present, the centre can accommodate 24 browsers simultaneously. Plans are in progress to extend this facility to all the departments through a fibre-based campus wide network. The Service providers are Software Technology Park of India and the connectivity is through a radio link working at 64/128 KBPS and A leased line from VSNL with a 512Kbs speed. Students and staff are provided with secure and reliable browsing via a firewall - protected WindowsNT server. Current timings are 8.00AM TO 8.00PM . Students are provided with resources to copy the required information, in a controlled fashion on to a CD/Floppy Disk. They can also obtain a Laser/Dot Matrix Print out. The centre has a 100 CD Jukebox on the Network, through which interesting, educational and exciting CD's can be browsed without the need to access the WWW. Further all professional Journals on CD's will be made available shortly. Experienced and well-qualified staff manage the centre and are always available for any help in using the facility.

The college library is located in the first floor of the main block and consists of a large collection of books pertaining to Engineering, Architecture, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and topics of general interest. The collection is continuously increasing to cater the needs of teachers and students and to include new and latest titles. The reading section in the library is well furnished and well lighted and ventilated, kept open for teachers and students even after normal working hours of the institution. Various technical journals in every field of engineering and architecture are subscribed for the benefit of the staff and students to enable them to keep themselves well informed of the latest know how. It also provides leading newspapers, magazines and periodicals in almost all Indian languages for the benefit of staff and students to improve their general knowledge in their leisure hours.

The college provides ample opportunity for the students to take part in all indoor and outdoor sports activities. Sports complex is located adjacent to the college and has facilities for playing and practicing Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton Football and Cricket. Our Basketball court is laid to international standards. A well equipped gymnasium including a multi gym is kept open throughout the day. Inter college tournaments, inter class matches and annual athletic meet are regular features in the sports section. Many of the students represent the university and the state in various sports.

The institution is well connected to different parts of the city by buses of the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation. Three wheeler autos ply in plenty to and from the campus.

The institution provides both residential hostel and lodging home accommodations to the students separately for boys and girls. The residential hostel is managed by a teacher-warden appointed by the Principal. Admissions are made on first come first served basis and every inmate is to conduct himself/herself as per prevailing rules and regulations. Right of admission and right of expulsion rest with the authorities. A canteen is situated in the premises of the institution and sufficient care is taken to see that healthy and wholesome food is served during working hours.
