COURSE OBJECTIVE

The main objective of this programme is to enlighten the participants on the architecture of Grid Computing. "The Grid" is an emerging infrastructure that will fundamentally change the way people think about and use computing. The field is attracting many budding researchers from among the faculty of many Engineering colleges. This is aided by recent trends in the industry favoring the development of new technology and products to foster the needs of Grid Computing. This programme will provide teachers with an insight into Grid Computing to explore new avenues for their research programme as well as equip them to train their students to meet the challenges of Grid Computing.
CONTENTS
Virtualization, Grid Middleware, Scheduler, Co-Allocation, Inter Operability, Grid Security, Service Level Agreement, Data Management, MPI, Cloud Computing.

RESOURCE PERSONS

Experts from CDAC - Bangalore, IBM, HP, Intel and Professors with Grid Computing expertise from various reputed institutions.

PARTICIPANTS

Faculty from AICTE approved degree level institutions can apply and participate in the programme without any registration fee. Candidates are requested send the completed registration form through post/courier or e-mail. The registration form must contain the signature of Head of the Institution with seal. Selected applicants will be informed by e-mail.

BOARDING AND LODGING

Boarding and lodging will be provided in the institute hostel for participants from AICTE approved Institutions and TA will be paid as per AICTE norms.
