  • Young’s modulus by Single cantilever.
  •  Determination of lattice parameter of the sample from X-ray powder photograph
  • Diffraction grating: minimum deviation method. Determination of wavelength of spectral lines of mercury lamp.
  • Series and parallel LCR circuits: Determination of resonant frequency, Q-factor, bandwidth and unknown value of inductance or capacitance.
  • I-V characteristics of a Zener diode: Determination of breakdown and knee voltage
  • Characteristics of a Transistor: Determination of current amplification factor and current gain
  • Band gap of semiconductor: Determination of the energy gap of given semiconductor.
  • Dielectric constant: Determination of the value of capacitance and dielectric constant by charging and discharging method.
  • B-H curve: To draw the B-H curve for the ferromagnetic material and to calculate the hysteresis loss and relative permeability.
  • Laser diffraction: Measurement of wavelength of Laser using diffraction grating.
  • Planck’s constant: Determination of h using LED’s
  • Verification of Stefan’s law using a lamp filament as power radiator.
  • Determination of Fermi energy of the given material.
  • Determination of the unknown values of L, C and R of a black box using a signal generator.
  • Determination of Momentum of Inertia of irregular body and rigidity of modulus by torsional pendulum

Note: The student has to perform 10 experiments from the above list
