Departmental Activities
To attain and maintain high quality Standards, the Department has set a few objectives for itself:
To enhance the quality of Students, they are exposed to the latest trends in technology by conducting Industry Institutional Interface activities. Seminars are held regularly, with eminent personalities invited to give talks.
Faculty
To improve their knowledge and to comply with the Norms of the University, the Teaching Staff is encouraged on the following:
Applying for higher studies.
Attending short term courses.
Participating in Workshops / Seminars / Conferences etc.
Students
The Quality of Outgoing Students is classified and highlighted in terms of:
a. Results achieved & Ranks obtained,
b. Pursuing higher studies and
c. Placement at reputed Organizations.
The pass percentage of the Department has been exceptionally good from the time of its inception.
With the constant encouragement and support from the Staff, Students have formed the Departmental Association named as “Parity”, which conducts Seminars and extra-curricular activities at Inter-Departmental level. Parity has hosted the web site www.pariy.tk that conducts on-line techno quizzes through the web site.
The Department has been encouraging Students to work on Projects of National Interest and the Projects that set new Trends in Technology.
The Department has achieved the present state of high quality performance within a short span of time. The Department’s goal is to impart knowledge to its Students on the latest and relevant Information in Contemporary Telecommunication Technologies.
