JSW Energy Centre of Excellence (JSWECE), Toranagallu, Bellary Dist, recognized by Central Electricity Authority, Govt. of India and M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT), Bangalore, an Autonomous Institute affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, Karnataka, announces admission to one‐year full‐time Post Graduate Diploma in Power Plant Engineering for the 3nd Batch of the year 2010‐2011. The course covers mandatory requirements under Indian Electricity (Amendment) Rules, 1981 which authorizes certificate holders to operate power plants of various capacities.
Eligibility: First Class B.E./B.Tech or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical/Control & Instrumentation/Electronics engineering disciplines.
Age limit: 30 years for non‐sponsored candidates and No age limit for sponsored candidates.
Selection Criteria: Entrance Test and University/Institute awarded %age/grade. (50% weightage to written test and 50% weightage to university/Institute awarded %age/grade)
No. of Seats: The no. of seats is limited to 60 (sixty).

For non‐sponsored candidates: Rs. 1, 30,000/‐ (3 instalments)
For Sponsored candidates from SEBs/PSUs/Private Utilities: Rs. 1, 60,000/‐
For Foreign candidates: US $ 6,000/‐
Hostel Facilities: Fully furnished hostel accommodation is available on nominal charges. Separate hostels are available for girls.
Placement Services: JSWECE / MSRIT offer placement services from various companies. Career opportunities will also be provided at JSW Energy Ltd. depending on the manpower requirements of the company. The First Batch students will get an opportunity to be employed at our company based on their performance.
