Physics

History.
The Department of Physics has come into existence since the inception of the Institute. The department is involved in teaching the Engineering Physics Theory and Laboratory courses to the students of different Engineering disciplines. The staff of the department are actively participating also in teaching interdisciplinary courses. The Department of Physics has been recently recognized as a Research Centre of VTU, Belgaum.

Activities.
The academic activities of the department are teaching, research and conducting guest lectures. The physics laboratory is quite spacious, well equipped and provides excellent academic ambience for work.
